To be honest, this is always on the first
line of my New Year’s resolutions – always stay positive. But do I really
follow it? That’s the question. I would say that in some situations it’s
incredibly easy for me to keep my mind positive. I am Sagittarius, so that
means I am basically positive, but you know, sometimes it’s really difficult
not to forget it. When I think of some examples, I don’t have to go far away in
my mind. My big problem was always nto believe in myself at school. I have never
had any difficulties at school, I have usually had only A or the worst was B.
However, the problem is somewhere else. Fortunately, I don’t have to study for
a long time, but I never have the feeling like I really know everything what I
need. I can’t sleep the night before a test or an exam, I have problems with my
stomach which knows very well that something is wrong with me. I try to repeat
the things that I have studied in my head but I only realize that there is
nothing and I don’t remember anything. Do you also know this feeling or am I
the only crazy person? Then during the test I remember everything, even the
things that I have never known I have heard about them. After that I always try
to persuade me that what I did was stupid again and I want to believe that next
time everything will be different and I will be not stressed. Guess what. The
other time it’s the same again and again. Maybe it’s just a part of my
character and even if I try I can’t change it. Or my mind doesn’t want to allow
me to change it because then my life would be much easier and maybe I would
live longer.

Catch Me If You Can
Based on a true story, Frank Abagnale Jr. (
Leonardo DiCaprio) is one of the 1960s’ most legendary con artists. His home
life seems to be perfect for the youngster, he adores his parents. His father
(Christopher Walken) relies on using an angle to get what he wants and employs
his teen son in his scams. But everything changes when he gets the family into
in serious financial trouble. When Frank is 16, his parents get divorced and he
is told to choose which one he will live with. He cannot handle it and he runs
away. Like a child, he thinks he can recreate the perfect world he once thought
he had. But he has one very un-childlike quality, an astonishing eye for
detail. Combined with the charm and panache he learned from his father, the
ability to appear innocent to give him apparent credibility and - just as
important - youthful fearless (he just doesn't know how outrageous his scams
are), he becomes one of the most successful con men in history. Before he is
imprisoned in France, he manages to pass himself off as a pilot, a doctor, and
a lawyer. He also manages to pass off bad checks worth over $4 million.
Every single element of this movie works
brilliantly together and the result is as irresistible as its con man hero. The
screenplay by Jeff Nathanson is excellent, as crafty as its subject and with
just the right touch of heart. Tom Hanks, as the FBI agent who chases, admires,
and ultimately inspires Frank, makes each moment on screen a small masterpiece.
DiCaprio captures us from his first moment as an awkward 13-year-old to his
sheer pleasure in his own ability to master the adult world. The story seems to
be made up, but while I was watching the movie, I realised that this world
where we live is so crazy, fast and full of hypocrisy that everything is
possible.

music
Music, I would say that this is really my
favourite topic to talk about. I can spend hours talking about music and the
bands that stole my heart. To be honest I really do spend hours with my friends
discussing this topic. Every time when someone asks me what is my favourite
band or the type of music that I listen to, I suddenly don’t feel comfortable.
I feel great with my friends that know me for a long time and they know
everything about me and what I like. On the other hand, if it’s someone who
just uses this topic to start a conversation, I don’t know what to say not to
sound stupid. Honestly, I don’t listen to only one genre, I don’t have problem with
anything if I like the rhythm or the lyrics. The problem arises when I say the
name of my favourite band and usually no one knows it. Then it’s time to ask me
what kind of music they play. Another problem. Nobody can imagine how difficult
it is to describe the type of music they create. I try my best but most of the
time at the end nobody knows what I mean. Maybe it would be better to start to
listen to something that everybody knows from the radio and it is not so
difficult to name it. In my opinion it is really sad that such great bands are
not well-known and they don’t play their music on the radio million times a day
so people will know. I don’t like this mainstream music that tries to go under
your skin. I wish people would listen to something that really makes sense and
what is real music.

Change
When I hear the word change many images
appear in my mind. Through my life I have experienced many changes, but if I
try to think of the biggest one, I will say that it was the time when I started
to study at university. Everything has changed and everything was absolutely
new for me. The first biggest change meant moving into another city and living
without my parents for the first time in my life. To be honest, this was one of
the best things that have ever happened to me. I don’t want to say that I don’t
like my parents. However, how I am older and older I need my own space to live
my life as I want. Every Thursday I am looking forward to going back home to my
parents, to talk to them, to enjoy the time together and to feel like at real
home. But then on Sunday I can’t wait to go into my flat again. Nobody asks me
where I am going or what time I will come back and that’s the thing I really
enjoy. Despite the fact that I don’t see my old friends so often I still feel
good. I have met so many new people who somehow inspired me and who added
something new to my life. Actually, this life is totally different from the old
one that I lived before, but sometimes it’s just time to move on and to
experience new things. I am incredibly thankful for the life I live, for my
parents who support me and love me. It was a big change although when you start
living it, you realize that soon it turns into stereotype again and there is
nothing new for you anymore.
